This document provides instructions for training educators on how to alter open educational resources (OERs) for use in their biology courses. Participants are asked to download an existing OER related to biology, such as a textbook chapter, lab activity, or lesson on mitosis and meiosis. They then alter the resource as needed for their course by updating examples, adding or removing content, and formatting the material. Educators are instructed to explain the changes they made and how it will benefit their students. The document also lists additional OERs and asks participants to identify another resource they could modify for classroom use.
