Why?  To monitor communication between wells during frac’ing.  Companies record information in cases where a reservoir is damaged during the frac.  To satisfy AER directive 83 to ensure wellhead safety.  Controlling cost overruns to repair a producing well that was damaged by inter-wellbore communication.  To build reservoir knowledge that was previously unknown.
Offset well near Gordondale Able to monitor lower pumpjack tubing pressures (stuffing box) Recorder is Class 1 Div 1. Transmitter is Class 1 Div 2.

Montney multipad wellsite monitoring SSI can simultaneously monitor many wells on the same project. By overlaying the real-time data we can see what well bores communicate and what well bores don’t. This is a great help in frac design and risk assessment.
