Here are some of the most common types of tax questions I've researched and the top resources I recommend:
- Filing status and forms - I always start patrons on the IRS.gov and Tax.Ohio.gov websites where all the official forms and instructions can be found.
- Small business taxes - The IRS Small Business and Self-Employed Tax Center and Ohio Business Taxes pages have great overviews and links to necessary forms.
- Deductions and credits - IRS Publication 17 is extremely helpful, as are searching the IRS site for specific deductions/credits.
- Filing deadlines - IRS.gov and Tax.Ohio.gov have clear deadline calendars.
- Payment plans/relief options
