Jason Austin created a social network called the NCSU Web Developers Group to facilitate communication and collaboration among web developers at NCSU and nearby universities and industries. The group started with over 100 people at its first meeting in November 2008. It has since grown to include 140 members across multiple schools and industries. The social network site ncsuwebdev.ning.com allows members to share forum posts, blog posts, and has averaged 100 unique visits per day.
