JCB is a UK-based construction equipment manufacturer with a subsidiary in India called JCB India. JCB India has developed a rural marketing strategy to tap into India's vast rural market and significant infrastructure development opportunities. This includes developing a smaller backhoe loader product called 2DX targeted at rural areas, and expanding its dealer network to 400 outlets across the country to achieve 15% sales growth of its backhoe loaders by 2011-12.
