I graduated from the University of Massachusetts ~ Lowell in May of 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering. I am very interested in the position and believe with my education and experience I would contribute to the success of your company. While working toward my Bachelor's degree, I was employed as a field inspector for a small consulting firm, RAND Associates. From this, I gained practical experience and became proficient in using AutoCAD. After graduation, I was offered a full time position as an entry level structural engineer with DQ Engineering, formerly RAND Associates. I gladly accepted the opportunity to be taught structural design by a professional engineer and apply my education to the "real world". In October of 2010, I started working for P & J Mechanical Services, Incorporated, a HVAC company which primarily installs residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems. I was impressed by the knowledge and abilities of the employees and became very interested in the design of ductwork along with the mechanical and electrical components of the equipment. Presently, I am working for P & J Mechanical Services but I want to expand my knowledge in HVAC design. Based on the posted description, I'm confident that I am fully qualified for the position and will be a strong addition to your team. Provided customers/clients with proposals, contracts, invoices, & rebate information. Responsible for sizing of equipment per Manual J specifications. Reported and documented company's daily cash flow and finances for preparation of taxes by company's accountant. Field Supervisor Made sure employees properly followed owner's instructions and/or the mechanical drawings for proper installation of ductwork and equipment per Massachusetts' HVAC codes and specifications. Assisted with installation and layout of ductwork. Drained and vented HVAC systems. Responsible for all low voltage wiring.
