It recommends writing a sentence describing the research topic, identifying keywords by removing unnecessary words, determining related terms or synonyms, and developing a search expression combining the keywords and related terms using Boolean operators like AND and OR. It also notes some advanced search features like using inurl:edu to limit results to .edu websites or using NOT or - to exclude terms.

Note: When using Boolean Logic, OR is used between
like terms and AND is used between different terms.
6. Advanced
search features
• At end of search expression type inurl:edu
• When you want to exclude a term you can type NOT or –term. No
spaces between the – and term.
