The Ministry of Education in Peru has established extended school days to improve educational outcomes called Jornada Escolar Completa. This program extends the regular school day by at least two hours to provide students with more time for learning activities, homework support, and tutoring. The additional hours are used for workshops, projects, cultural and recreational activities to strengthen skills in reading, math, values, and more.
