Hello, my name is Chad
Hummel.
I hail from the rainy, Starbucks-infested city of Seattle,
Washington, and I have lived here all my life.
Family
 Two loving parents
 One twin brother
 One older brother (who attends
TCU also)
 And two Labrador retrievers.
Hobbies
Spending time with family and friends
 Reading
 Learning
 Traveling
Recreation
 Running
 Biking
 Hiking
 Skiing
Strengths Quest
1. Learner
2. Analytical
3. Discipline
4. Consistency
5. Achiever
Education
I am pursuing a degree in Business, most likely
Supply Chain Management or Accounting.
Involvement on Campus
 Neeley Fellows Program
 Chancellors Leadership Program
 Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX)
 New Member Helper
Best Learning Experiences
Attended a classical Christian school from
Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Curriculum: liberal arts, based on ancient Greek
model of education called the Trivium (three
stages: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric).
Best Learning Experiences (Continued)
In the summer of 2014, I traveled to Europe for the
first time. I went on the Cultural Routes trip through
the Honors College at TCU, exploring Germany,
Switzerland, and Italy.
Favorite Learning Style and Environment
A teacher that cares about our learning and growth
Classmates who strive to make each other better
 Discussion-based classes instead of lectures
A quiet setting with very few distractions
Life Goals
Graduate with a degree in either Supply Chain or
Accounting
 Raise and support a family
Strive for excellence in all I do. Yet recognize that
failure is sometimes inevitable, and in fact, often
helpful. As Henry Ford said, Failure is the
opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
Social Media
I try to limit my social media usage so they dont
hinder my real life relationships with people. But, I
do use the following:
Class Goals
To learn as much as I can about BIS because I
dont have any prior knowledge of it
To pull my weight as a team member in the group
project
 To participate in class discussions
 To learn from my peers
To apply what I learn in the real world
To give 100 percent 100% of the time
