Sharon Tate was an American actress who was married to film director Roman Polanski. In 1969, she and several others were murdered at her home on Cielo Drive in Los Angeles by members of the Manson Family led by Charles Manson. Manson and his followers carried out the murders in an attempt to incite a race war.
