Sosnowiec is a city in southern Poland that has been settled since the 12th century and was granted town privileges in 1902. Some of its main attractions include Patelnia square, Sielecki Castle which dates back to the Middle Ages, Sch旦n Palace built in 1885, and the train station from 1859. The city is also known for its parks, theatres, and has produced famous composers and singers like Wadysaw Szpilman and Jan Kiepura.
