OUR MISSION
Model UN is a tremendous analytical vehicle. We
view our students passion for their education as the
ultimate asset. The Stevenson Diplomacy Academy
will not only strengthen the skills needed to win at
Model UN competitions, but will challenge students
to be better thinkers, writers, and advocates as they
develop original thesis projects.
STUDENT OBJECTIVES & OUTCOMES
 Become more confident and competent speakers in
structured debated and impromptu speeches
 Understand how to properly research and structure
draft resolutions, committee directives, and private
portfolio directives in Model UN simulations
 Construct an original thesis after exploring subjects
of interest
 Write a fully cited, academic research paper with
annotated bibliography for publication

APPLICATION CRITERIA
 All applicants must submit the online application before the
deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and once
the Academy is full, we will no longer review applications.
 Strong applicants will have attended at least 3 Model UN
conferences and won awards.
 Strong academic and co-curricular performance is required, as
measured by GPA, course load, and co-curricular leadership.
 Applicants are encouraged to tell their original story and
explain why they should be admitted.

After long days of researching, writing,
and debate practice, we plan to take full
advantage of our host city of Boston!
