Management is a very important part of any governing body whether it is a school, college, institute or university and to managing information is a very tough job for any organisation/ institution. The same way, managing information in the library is also considered as an important duty. Being a library professional, one has to manage their staff, administration, office, higher authority and the most important, its resources. This paper discusses an overview of managing digital information through various tools. The available tools are required to manage various types of information today and also current trends of managing digital information/ resources. The main purpose of this paper is to highlight the tool - Subjects Plus as a digital information management tool and its features, the workflow, implementation, customisation and application of Subjects Plus in Biju Patnaik Central Library, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.
