About:
The way we perceive music has changed a lot in recent 30 years
than it had changed in past 1000 years. The last 3 Decades have
given birth to many of the modern music forms which had
outreached the population like wildfire. With the current forms
and further developments in music, we seem to have forgotten
the music that was once a symbol of our culture and tradition,
which not only used to touch our ears but also touched our hearts
and souls.
The Twin city beside its popularity in commerce and education,
has also been a land to many of the legends who had contributed
and transformed the ‘Classical music’ and took it to a new level.
The City is home to the Renowned personalities like Pt.Sawai
gandharba, Pt.Mallikarjun Mansoor, Pt.Basavaraj rajguru,
Dr.Gangubai hangal, Pt.Bhimsen joshi and the never ending list of
Classical Legends goes on.
“Swarangana-16” is one such attempt to bring back the long lost and
forgotten Glory to the “CLASSICAL HINDUSTANI MUSIC”, the music that
made the stones hymn to its tunes, the music which nourished the trees
to bare fruits and the music that cured the ailments and diseases!
“Swarangana-16” is a Classical Hindustani vocal competition which will be
held for the age group of 8-15 years & 16-22 years who have calibre and
mettle to showcase their mastered skill of “Hindustani Music” which not
only upraises their stand in the world of world but also takes the
‘Hindustani music’ to a new level.
A well stitched audition will be conducted to recognize the skill and talent
of the participants. Top contestants will be selected for further
competition.
The winner will be awarded with Rewards and Certifications. The finalists
will also be provided with further opportunities to perform on higher
platforms.
