2. Classroom Website http://sites.google.com/site/strivemiddleschool/ Students "Check-In" when they arrive. They grade their mood, make a personal goal for the day, and search a word using the internet. At the end of the day, the students "Check-Out" and rate their day. Did they meet their daily goal? They provide a one-two sentence on what went well and what could have gone better during the school day. Students use web links connected to the classroom website to search the dictionary on a daily basis.

Monthly calendar with important dates and physical education schedule. When studying the USA, students used the internet to find basic facts on the 50 states. Links to resources for use in school and at home.
4. GOOGLE in the classroom Android, Blogger, Books, Buzz, Calendar, Docs, Earth, Gmail, Maps, Sites, Talk, Voice, YouTube.
5. Communicating with parents Using Google, we connect with parents through the website and the internet several ways. Important events (vacation days, open house, parent night, etc.) are posted and can be subscribed via RSS . Daily reports using Docs can easily emailed to parents or accessed with permissions settings. Classroom Gmail account allows parents to send notes easily and communicate with: Google Talk (chat) connects parents who are willing. Google Buzz is a Twitter-like way to post brief notes (upcoming swimming day, breaks, field trips, etc.).
6. Other Google Products Books - free books that can be read online with a PC, tablet or smartphone. Earth - A unique way to explore our planet. From the stars, continents, geography, landmarks, to street view. Endless opportunities to explore and learn! Maps - A way to learn about our surroundings, where we live, go to school, watch our sports teams, etc. Voice - A unique Google phone number that can be used to re-direct to "official" voicemail boxes. Also can be accessed by staff from remote location.
