For the most part, 2018 was a dismal 12-month span for tri-state area teams, with only the Yankees (plus the Red Bulls, NYCFC and Devils) making the playoffs. And even the mighty Bombers were bounced in the ALDS by the hated Red Sox, ending a promising season in disappointment.
