Miss Marple is called to help solve a case in the small town of Bantry after the strangled body of a girl is found in the library. She discovers the victim is Pamela, and the dead girl found originally is Ruby, a dancer who worked at the Majestic Hotel. Ruby was cousins with Josie, who reveals Ruby was going to be adopted by Mr. Jefferson. While investigating at the hotel, Miss Marple learns another girl was killed. She determines Josie planned the murders of Ruby and Pamela, while Mark, Mr. Jefferson's son-in-law, carried them out because he was jealous of Ruby's inheritance. Ruby's body was ultimately burned in a car.

SUMARY: One morning in Bantry卒s library something unusual happened because in Mary Mead town never happen unusual things, that morning the bantrys found a body of a girl who was strangled, miss Marple who was an expert woman solving cases was helping in that case, she called Josie who said that she know that girl because she was her cousin, she said too that the dead girl was a dancer and worked at majestic hotel, her name was ruby. Miss Marple went to the hotel to investigate and there she met Mr. Jefferson who loved Ruby and he going to adopt her, then she met Mr. Mark the Jeffersons son-in-law they seem a good men, while she was there she knew that another girl was murdered ans she tought that it had relation with rubys death so miss Marple start to asked to all the people about those cases. At the end miss Marple solved the case, Josie made the plan of the murder and Mark killed them because they were jealous of Ruby for the money that gave Mr. Jefferson and the other girl named Pamela saw when he killed ruby so Mark killed her too and the girl in the library was Pamela, Ruby was burnt in a car.
