This document provides instructions for making a thaumatrope, which is an early optical toy. It lists the necessary tools as scissors, paper, cardboard, rubber bands, glue stick, and drawing pens. 2. Tools:
• - scissors
• -a sheet of paper
• -a cardboard
• -2 rubber bands
• -a glue stick
• -color pens or felt pens
• -a drawing compass
3. Instructions:
• -Draw with the compass 2 circles of radius 4
cm on the sheet of paper and 1 on the
cardboard
• -Make a drawing on each disk with the paper.
For example, draw a cage and a bird.
• -Cut out the 3 disks
• -Stick the 2 paper disks on the cardboard disk.
4. • Make 2 holes on each side the cardboard.
• -Put a rubber band in each hole.
• -Spin the disk with the rubber band.
