The Employee Location Management System (ELMS) is a web-based application that enables organisations to quickly locate their employees and respond effectively in an emergency. In the event of an incident such as a terrorist attack, civil unrest or an environmental disaster, ELMS helps organisations identify those who are safe, and focus attention on those who are in need of assistance or unaccounted for. ELMS then provides organisations with a mechanism that enables them to communicate with those affected by a crisis, and to coordinate an effective response.

WHAT IS ELMS?
The Employee Location
Management System
(ELMS) is a web-based
application that enables
organisations to quickly
locate their employees
and respond effectively
in an emergency.
In the event of an
incident such as a
terrorist attack, civil
unrest or an environ-
mental disaster, ELMS
helps organisations
identify those who
are safe, and focus
attention on those who
are in need of assistance
or unaccounted for.
ELMS then provides
organisations with
a mechanism to
communicate with those
affected by a crisis,
and to coordinate an
effective response.
ELMS offers an overview
of all employees
within an organisation,
not just travelling staff.
Through the use of
the internet and the
latest technology,
ELMS centralises
employee information
and security processes.
Where accounting for
staff may have taken
days using traditional
methods such as spread-
sheets, emails and
phone numbers, ELMS
collapses timeframes.
ELMS demonstrates
an organisations
commitment to duty
of care. It offers
employers peace of
mind, while employees
can feel confident
that their organisation
has a tangible process
in place for overseeing
their safety.
Few people want to
be tracked. With this
principle in mind, ELMS
was designed to enable
employees to update
their own location status.
This method provides
an effective and
non-intrusive process
for locating and
accounting for staff.

9. HOW IT WORKS
ELMS is an easy-to-use
and simple to manage
web-based system.
It features a dashboard
that enables Security
Managers, HR depart-
ments and management
to view the location
and safety status of
all staff. This online
platform acts as a portal
through which staff
can communicate with
their management team
during a crisis.
Employees are able
to manually update
their own safety status,
location and itinerary
online, through SMS, or
smartphone applications.
Security Managers and
administrators can then
view location data on a
digital map, and be kept
notified of any change
in the location or safety
status of an employee.
ELMS is a user-led
system which allows
employees to be in
control of their own
location data. ELMS
also enables those
responsible for employee
safety to monitor and
audit an employees
compliance with security
policies. For example,
ELMS can monitor how
often staff update their
safety status and read
security notifications.
10. THE BENEFITS
Accounting for staff
ELMS immediately
identifies the location
and safety status of
staff during a crisis.
This allows focus to
be directed towards
those who are in need
of assistance or
unaccounted for.
Duty of care
ELMS provides
organisations with an
established process
which demonstrates
an organisations
commitment to the
safety of its employees
and helps to satisfy
legal obligations.
Increased effectiveness
While Travel Management
Systems generally
focus on flight details,
ELMS allows employers
to monitor staff where-
abouts at all times.
Affordability
ELMS provides a
solution that can be
implemented cost-
effectively across an
entire global workforce.
Latest technology
Many organisations
are exploring how the
use of phones and of
the internet can improve
security processes.
ELMS is the solution.
11. Track24 was established
in 2004 in response to
the precarious situation
faced by civilian
contractors in Iraq.
To provide an operational
picture showing the
location of personnel
and vehicles on
digital maps, Track24
introduced satellite
tracking and miniaturised
GSM technologies.
A process was then
established to identify
who was at risk and
pinpoint their exact
location within seconds.
This system enables a
swift, efficient response
to emergencies. Panic
alarms on Track24
devices proved funda-
mental to saving lives,
in the thousand of
incidents our clients
have been involved in.
Track24 has set the
bench-mark for the
technological standards
and quality of service
expected in the
highly demanding
Security Tracking
and Risk Management
Sector (STRMS).
Track24 now operates
globally providing a
wide range of products,
tracking devices, location
management systems,
and situational command
and control solutions.
Building on its recognised
expertise in the STRMS,
Track24 launched ELMS,
a web-based platform
that allows organisations
to account for a globally
dispersed workforce.
Thanks to Track24
and ELMS, every
organisation, large
and small, now has
the ability to oversee
the safety status of
their employees, and
respond more effectively
during a crisis.
