Phone banks are commonly used to contact voters by phone for voter identification and turnout efforts. They can also be used to recruit volunteers, raise money, and promote events. Effective phone banking requires proper logistics like a safe location with adequate facilities, sufficient phone lines and accessibility. Volunteers should be provided with sign-in sheets, scripts, instructions, voter lists, tally sheets, campaign information and other materials. Training is important to ensure volunteers follow best practices like using a script, marking lists consistently, and moving calls along efficiently. Proper planning and volunteer coordination helps phone banks run smoothly.
