GRAMATICAL RULES!  The past simple: • Use to express an action already done. • We have irregular verbs and regular verbs.
REGULAR VERBS. Past simple verb forms are created by adding, e+d (ed) in the end of the verb. Ex. Call+ed= called. Want+ed= wanted.
REGULAR VERBS.  Past simple verb forms, verbs that end in a e, we add a d in the end. Ex: Change+d= changed Smile+d= smiled
REGULAR VERBS.  Past simple verb forms, verbs that end in Y CAHNGES to i +ed in the end. Ex. Try  i + ed = tried. Say  i + ed = said.
REGULAR VERBS.  Past simple verb forms, verbs that end in consonant + vowel + consonant, we double the last letter and + ed. STOP Vowel. Ex. Stop + pp + ed = Stopped
REGULAR VERBS.  Past simple verb forms, verbs that end in a vowel and y we DON´T change the y-i. We just add ed at the end. Ex. Stay + ed = stayed.
ACTIVITY. Write about what you did last week. Remember to use verbs in the past tense.
LET’S PRACTICE. 1. Last year I (go)____to England on a holiday. 2. It (be)____fantastic. 3. I (visit)_____lots of interesting places. I (be)____with two friends. 4. It (not)/rain)________a lot. 5. But we (see)____some beautiful rainbows.
LET’S PRACTICE. 1. In the mornings we (walk)____in the streets of L.A. 2. The teacher (was/were) nice. 3. The students (was/were) very cleaver. 4. But one student (was/were) in trouble. 5. We (were/was) sorry for him.
LET’S PRACTICE. 1. Janet/miss/the bus  2. She/tidy/her room  3. Nancy/watch/not/television  4. She/play/baseball  5. I/a car/want  6. We / the game / lose 
