Universal Design (UDL) aims to make learning accessible to all students by designing lessons from the start using multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement. UDL seeks to help all students become expert learners who know a lot, can perform skills well, enjoy learning, and want to learn more by removing barriers through hands-on, interactive techniques rather than solely relying on reading.

What is its main purpose? Its main purpose is to make sure that everybody is a successful learner and reaches what is called an expert learner.
Expert Learner An expert learner means that the student knows a lot, they know how to do a lot, they love learning and they want to do it more.
What is the key to UDL? Is that we are designing learning experiences, which from the beginning are designed to be universal and to make sure that everybody learns.
The Three Principles of UDL 1.?Provide multiple means of representation 2.?Provide multiple means of action and expression 3.?Provide multiple means of engagement
How it is implemented in education Teachers implement UDL by gauging possible barriers for students and use methods such as hands on, interactive and engaging. This gets students to actually do something other than just reading.
