A connector allows an organization to use Google's search algorithm to search internal content by disguising non-web data sources as webpages to the Google Search Appliance. It works by feeding the IDs of content from the internal data source to the GSA. When the GSA requests a webpage, the connector finds the associated content, transforms it into the GSA format, and sends it to be indexed, allowing internal content to be searchable through the GSA.
