PDHPE is an important subject in schools for several reasons. It teaches children about health, nutrition, and how to keep their bodies fit, which is important as obesity rates in children are rising. PDHPE educates children on fun ways to be physically active for at least 60 minutes per day as recommended. It also teaches children skills like teamwork by participating in sports, helps them understand safety issues like drugs and stranger danger, and prevents bullying. For these reasons, PDHPE is a valuable subject that prepares children for life.
