This document provides an overview of the basics of an exchange participant's process from registration to completion of an internship placement. It explains that each internship position (Traineeship Nomination or TN) is unique and matched to a specific exchange participant (EP). The EP's registration form is "raised" online, then the EP and TN can be "matched" when both sides agree to the placement. Finally, the placement is "realized" when the EP begins work, and is later "completed" when the internship ends. Key terms explained are EP, TN, raised, matched, realized and the acceptance note form exchanged between the EP and internship provider.
4. STILL BASICS
Each position is unique. Like the participant.
Each position is matched to one unique
participant.
We call that participant EP-Exchange
Participant, and that specific position TN-
Traineeship Nomination.
6. RAISE
EP (or TN) form is registered on myaiesec.net. The form is
raised on the system.
It is now online and every AIESECer can view it.
It is basically like a profile for the participant to let others know
more about him.
Includes :
Personal Info
Professional Info (cv)
Academic Info
Skills
Background etc.
Example : EP-In-GR-AT-2013-1762 | TN-In-GR-AT-2012-1438
7. Match
As we said, each position is unique and is there for only one
participant.
That means that each TN is matched to one EP.
When the EP and the other side agree upon a position, the
EP and the TN are matched officially online (status changes
to matched).
The two sides exchange EP AN TN AN (Acceptance note,
it states officially that each part accepts the position-
participant)
9. Realize
When the EP goes to work for the first day, their status is
changed to realized.
So is the status of the TN as well.
It stays like that for the duration of the internship. When the
internship is completed, the new status is completed.
10. Lets sum up
EP = Exchange Participant
TN = Traineeship Nomination
RA-MA-RE = Raised-Matched-Realized
AN = Acceptance Note
LC2LC = Local Committee to Local Committee
