I have been programming since my first week in college in September 2004. A month before entering the university, I was introduced to software development by a class mate who was enrolled in an IT institution. I was captivated by my new found knowledge and couldn't wait to try out my coding skills through several personal projects. I took the initiative to single-handedly teach myself computer programming. As such, I always found myself in the library reading C++ books. I still remember hand copying programs from programming text books and borrowing computers from friends to test them.
