Ganibe began his formal studies in music at the Asian Institute for Liturgy and Music (AILM) in 1998, majoring in choral conducting under Eudenice Palaruan and Jonathan Velasco, and specializing on research and performance of Asian traditional music under the supervision of Prof. Aga Mayo Butocan.
