Assistant Professor, Darjeeling Govt. College. Ex-Research Fellow, Botanical Survey of India (1999-2004). Served as Lecturer in Bankura Christian College & Barasat Govt. College.
Discovered 16 New Species to Science from India and got KS MANILAL NATIONAL AWARD in Angiosperm Taxonomy in 2007.
Worked with IUCN for conservation of Critically Endangered species, Gaultheria akaensis at AKA HILL in Arunachal Pradesh.
Working with Prof. J.L.Reveal (Cornell University, USA) on Indian Ericaceae family regarding Typification.
Presently, I am doing Conservation of Threatened plants in Darjeeling Himalaya collaboration with West Bengal Biodiversity Board & Darjeeling Rock Valley Ecotourism Society.
