PAWA is primarily a grassroots collective, mostly consisting of residents of PDX, who believe in the ethical treatment of all companion, farm, and wild animals. We share events, petitions, and calls for donations relevant to advancing animal rights in our city and beyond, hosted by us directly or led by other organizations, groups, and investigators. We also encourage gatherings within the greater VEG community, as we educate the public about compassionate choices for the welfare of all animals, plant-based diets for health, and vegan lifestyles for a sustainable environment. We speak up for the voiceless. We stand up for the oppressed. And we hope to help end speciesism throughout the world
