Syed Syahrul Zarizi is an educator and have been blogging since 2001. Since then, some of his postings have been used by youths to enhance their skills (in video making and photography) and postgraduates in preparing their thesis on blogging culture in Malaysia. In 2011 he organized TEdxJohorBahru, an idea sharing event to encourage students to engage in social media and develop their confident level. He had also trained government staff in photography and videography (IKM Johor Bahru, Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor).
