About
BEEP is a leadership and professional development program administered to 84 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by the National Urban League. BEEP is the National Urban League’s oldest signature program. Established in 1969 through a grant from the Ford Foundation, BEEP was developed out of the need to expose black college students to role models in business and government, and enhance the curricula at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by relating them more closely to the world of work. The program has grown exponentially over the years reaching over 900,000 students since its inception.
