Education

Tom has been a graduate faculty member in adult education since 1982. He was most recently the director of the doctoral program in adult education at National Louis University—a program that attracted students from throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. He received his Ph.D. in Adult Education from the Union Institute and University in 1980. The principal focus of his research, study and practice has been on relating the education of adults to increased democratic participation in decision-making, linking this educational work with action for social change.
