About
ORCID: 0000-0001-9105-5960 – I've worked in many areas: cognitive science, artificial intelligence, computational neuroscience, computational biology, and recently, library information technology. My work has focused on the development of software standards and infrastructure for scientific computing. I co-developed and led to prominence today's most widely-used format for representing computational models in systems biology, the Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML). Along the way, I also co-founded BioModels.net, the Systems Biology Graphical Notation (SBGN), the Systems Biology Ontology (SBO), BioModels Database, and the COMBINE (Computational Modeling in Biology Network) community.
