Toru Tamaki received his B.E., M.S. and Ph.D degrees in information engineering from Nagoya University, Japan, in 1996, 1998 and 2001, respectively. After being an assistant professor at Niigata University, Japan, from 2001 to 2005 and an associate professor at Hiroshima University, Japan, from 2005 to 2020, he is a professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. His research interests include computer vision, medical image analysis, pattern recognition, image and video processing, machine learning and deep learning.
