In 2001, I took a chance. I asked - what if marketing and sales can benefit from the use of personas as had product and software design? That year, I pioneered the concept of buyer personas and a buyer research methodology designed to help us understand customers at a deeper level. Thanks to organizations who were early adopters, buyer personas are finding its' way into the mainstream of marketing and sales.
