Varsha Rao is an e-commerce thought-leader and Head of Global Operations at Airbnb – the online marketplace for accommodation worldwide, headquartered in San Francisco. Having started her career as a Financial Analyst at Wasserstein Perella and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co., and with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Rao founded and launched Eve.com in 1998. She made a successful exit with this award-winning e-commerce beauty and accessories company in 2000, and went on to serve in a rich variety of senior roles spanning the digital marketplace, media, content and mobile space.
