For the gloomy days and futile years
I do give thanks,for I just know
That these were the things
that made me strong!
For all the hills I've tried to climb,
For every stone that bruised my feet,
For blinding storms and burning heat,
This will be the path that I will take
I will rest but will never quit!
For all the blood and sweat and pain
For all the hopes that lived in vain
For all the downfalls and failures
My heart sings but a grateful song
