Was borne in the Eastern Cape, Edutywa kwilali yasemahliwane Kwisithili saseGwadana. Attended primary school at Mahliwane while hobbying on horse racing as a young joky of 13. Along the growing process I expereienced, like all black Azanians the scars of the evil of apartheid became my every day life, almost living life inbetween Johannesburg and the then Transkei. In 1972 when I was 10 I was introduced to the politics of the Black Consciousness Movement by elderly comrades such as Khotso Seatlholo, Rola, Amos "Ambie" Masondo in some quazi-youth club at Emaweni Primary next to Sekano-Ntoane where Dan Motsesi, Gabriel "Gab" Zwane, Rola, Khotso Mosetlha, Happy Ntshingla, Murphy Morobe, were at
