As a hobby, I follow Java's progress in IoT space. As part of my job, I am currently involved in enabling PaaS and SaaS support in Java EE platform. As a committer in Project GlassFish, I have been responsible for modularization of GlassFish using OSGi and exposing OSGi as a first class feature to Java EE applications. I have also integrated various JPA providers in GlassFish and involved in development of a static verification tool (called verifier) for Java EE applications.
