Mariana Gomez was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1986. She decided to work helping others just after graduating from high school as she realized the urgent need fro diabetes education in her country. Mariana has a Bachelor´s degree in literary translation and years after she studied a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She is a Diabetes Educator and believes that working in the emotional well-being of all individuals is a key component of their diabetes management.
