The Digital Literacy Institute offers digital literacy courses for the youth and senior citizen population of Northwest Indiana. The institute offers after-school workshops and summer camps for children in grades1-4. The workshops will aid students in critical thinking and becoming literate digital citizens. Students learn the basic role of the media, explore different media platforms, work on media projects, and meet individuals involved in the media arts. The senior citizen workshops provide seniors with courses aimed at increasing online knowledge . Seniors learn the basics of social media, software programs, and computer basics. The workshops help seniors to connect online .
