I'm passionate about association management. In Belgium there is still a lot of work to be done in raising awareness on the importance of associations (professional societies, trade associations, but also other organised intrest groups and communities) as the 'pivot' between the individual company or professional and the authorities and other relevant stakeholders. Recently, I have been working on the concept of Community Empowered Professionals, combining my background in association and community management and my fascination for the increasing group of self-employed, independent professionals (knowledgeworkers, freelancers).
