The logo
As we have decided to re
brand the current E4
logo, we are saying
goodbye to the old logo
but we are still keeping the
colour’s (purple and white)
because they are a
representation of the
whole channel (in addition
to this we have added
extra colours to the E4 logo
to make it look more
dramatic, but in situations
where colour cannot be
used it can appear as a
mono in Black.)

Logo size
Bye

The E4 logo has been designed
to reproduce at a minimum
height of 8mm. There is no
maximum reproduction size.
The logo in space
The current re – brand of
the E4 logo, is set in ‘out
of space’, When this
space theme is used it
mustn't be big enough to
out shine the E4 logo in
the middle.
It is important that all the
objects are inline with
the E4 logo, so it appears
the logo is the centre of
‘attention’.
The ‘space’ background
of the Logo must be the
same size as the ‘E’ in the
E4 as part of the
logo, this must stay the
same at all times.
Logo Position
Where possible in
print, the E4 logo should
always appear in the
bottom right-hand
position of the page. It
should be placed no closer
than 10mm from the
trimmed edge.
However, when the logo
is used with the strips of
tape, it must always form
a unit by being positioned
over one or both pieces of
tape. This unit can then be
used anywhere within the
print space
Logo Isolation Area and
Colour
Isolation area :
In the re
brand of E4’s logo, the logo
will stay in an isolation area
of at least 10mm from the
space, this is a minimum
figure and can be maximised
if needed.
This area is so the other
elements of the logo over
grow the main focus of the
logo ‘E4’.

Colour :
The main colours of
the E4 logo are purple and
black, only this colour
purple can be used, any
other and the channel will
lose it’s identity.
Typography
Typography :

E4 has always used the same
font ‘ITC American Typewriter’ for all brand
identity.
The font can be used in the following
weights :

Type should never appear
below ‘8pt’, and there is no
limit to font size.
Headlines should always be
set using ITC American
Typewriter Bold and always
in title case.
E4 and ‘Type’ Colour
E4 :
The Text in E4, will stay the
same, the ‘4’ will always be
numerical and directly next to
the ‘E’.

Type Colour :
Headlines should always
appear in purple or white depending
on the colour of background they
are sitting over.

Purple background = White headline

White background = Purple headline
