A middle school teacher who never imagined a life like this one as a child from Burleson, Texas.
In high school, I was the nice, smart girl in class. I'm remembered for FFA class as being the girl with the best rifle shooting skills.
My undergraduate studies went on for 8 years until I managed the right combination of history and anthropology. At A&M, I almost went on an underwater archeology expedition to Turkey, but I didn't have $3,000.
Life after college directed me to my husband, Darren. We've been married since 1996 and have one child. I am now a politician's wife.
