Sheldon Adelson is the Chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp., which owns and operates several casino resorts worldwide including The Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas, the Sands Macao and Venetian Macao in Macao, and the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. He made over $657 million by selling COMDEX, a computer industry trade show he founded, in 1995 and used the funds to demolish the Sands Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to build The Venetian resort. Under his leadership, Las Vegas Sands has transformed Las Vegas into an international business and leisure destination and helped develop Macao and Singapore into similar centers through its integrated resort properties.
