Maurice Aalders graduated in 1996 at the Free University of Amsterdam and gained his PhD at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2001 on a thesis entitled: Aspects of Photodetection in Cervical and Ovarian Neoplasia.
He worked as a physicist and staff member at the Laser Centre of the Academic Medical Centre (AMC) and the Anthony van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, Netherlands Cancer Institute both in Amsterdam. Currently he is a physicist and staff member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Physics of the Academic Medical Centre.
