Polstar is a window company based in Poland that sells windows and garden equipment in Sweden. They were interviewed about their environmental practices. Polstar recycles discarded products and windows can be recycled. They use energy efficient windows and district heating to reduce energy usage. While they transport a large volume of goods by truck from Poland to Sweden, they ensure the transporters have environmental policies. Potential areas for improvement include using energy saving light bulbs and printing on both sides of paper to reduce energy and paper usage.

Interview with a company. We have interviewed Johan Bergren who works at a company called Polstar. Polstar is a windowcompany but they sell more things than just windows, for example garden equipment. We asked him questions about how the company works with the inviroment.
Polstar does not use what we call green electricity. To save energy they have underfloor heating and district heating in there buildings, energy saving windows, and lower temeprature in the garner.
Polstar recycling discarded products, and all the windows they sell can be recycled. Polstar do not use any water when they do there products, so they only use water to the toilet. The biggest energy consumer they have is a freezer that they have to keep there lunch in.
They do not have any environmental certificate or any environmental policy but the staff has been at an invironmental education. Johan thinks that polstar is good to recycling products and every window they sell are energy efficient so the household which by windows from polstar will save energy.
Polstar is a company who have there factory in polen but they sell the windows here in sweden. They use trucks to get the windows from polen to sweden. They transport much, becuase they transport all the goods they work with. But it is good becuase they use only transporters who have an environmental policy.
One thing that is worse is that they do not use energysawing bulbs. So to reduce there energy consumption they can start use energysawing bulbs. And they use a lot of paper so they could save more energy if they write on both side of the papers, end when they print out something they also can have text on both side of the paper.
