Coin Game
Objective: To show difference in project execution methodology (Waterfall v/s
Agile) to the participants
Requirement:
- 20 coins of any denomination for each team.
- Team size should be of at least 4  5 members.
- One person in each team should be a time keeper.
Target Audience:
- College students
Level of knowledge of Target Audience:
- Novice to Agile Framework
Rules of the Game:
- The number of participants to be divided in such a way that each team should
have at least 4  5 participants.
- There will be 3 iterations for each team.
- The first iteration will show the project execution in Waterfall model.
- The second and third iteration will show the project execution in Agile
framework.
Iteration 1:
- Each team member will flip each coin and stack it one above the other.
- Once all the coins are flipped and stacked, it is passed to the other team
member.
- 2nd
person to repeat the same process. Once all the coins are flipped and
stacked, it is passed to the next team member.
- This process is to be repeated till it reaches the last team member.
- The last team member will take a note of the time he receives the complete
stack.
Note: Last team member does not need to flip the coins.
Iteration 2:
- Each team member will flip one coin at a time and pass it to the next team
member.
- As soon as the 2nd
team member receives the coin, he / she should flip it and
pass it to the next member in the queue.
- The last team member should note the time of receipt of first coin.
- Time for receipt of first coin should be noted as soon as the last team member
receives it.
- This process is to be repeated till the last coin reaches the last team member.
- The last team member also has to take a note of the time when the last coin
was received.

Objective: To let the participants understand the value of values of Agile
Manifesto
Requirement:
- Agile Manifesto Board
- 12 cards that needs to be mapped to values of Agile Manifesto
Target Audience:
- College students
Level of knowledge of Target Audience:
Novice to Agile Framework
Rules of the Game:
- Participants have to pick one card at a time
- Map each card to the most appropriate value of Agile manifesto
- Repeat this process for all the 12 cards
- Share your view with the trainer / participants for mapping each individual
card to the respective Agile Manifesto value
