Ahmed Elwakil received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Cairo University and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland. Since August 2000, He has been with the Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Sharjah University,Emirates where he is currently a Professor. He was a Dept. Chairperson from 2008 to 2012.
His research interests are primarily in Circuit Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos theory and Fractional-order circuits where he has authored and co-authored over 130 publications.
