I am an assistant professor at the Department of Horticulture, Damanhour University, Egypt. In 2007, I obtained a MSc. degree in fruit science and applied physiology from Faculty of Agriculture, University of Alexandria, Egypt.
In 2010, I was awarded a DAAD scholarship and my PhD project was carried out in Botanical Institute 1, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter Nick. I have just got my PhD degree with SUMMA CUM LAUDE 1.0 - excellent in July19th, 2013, PhD title is Grapes for the Desert: Salt Stress Signaling in Vitis.
